Good evening from the 37th floor of The Villa on Eaton Square. Some updates about whats been up during the last week. First big news- I got a second job as a Hostess at a Japanese restaurant Todai. My first day will be tomorrow and I hope it will go by pleasantly. The weather has been really nice here for the past days. Yesterday we bought some frozen yoghurt and went to the beach with Kristiina and Kristi- it was perfect. Today we chilled at the recreation center of our building and gathered some more tan (We can't see Kristi in the dark anymore for sure....lucky lucky girl). Tomorrow afternoon I will also have my first day at A&F. Therefore, exciting and busy days are about to come. The life in Waikiki is still the same- happy, tanned and beautiful people, street performers and sexy surfers around town. Soon enough we will also try out surfing- until now we have all been very busy finding jobs. At the moment I'll go to the gym to do some workout and then perhaps hit the pool... or just have a mojito...Anyhow just go with the flow like the life here works out :) Bye and mahalo for fallowing my posts :)

Greetings from Waikiki. Nothing remarkably exciting has happened since the last post, but I'll update you on a few things. Turns out that Forever21 does'nt take workers who are in the States with a J-1 visa. I was halfway through signing the contract when they decided I was unable to work there, so that was a major setback. Gladly, I got back on my feet and continued to look for a job. Consequently, I got an offer today for a model position at Abercrombie & Fitch as well as at A&F-s branch shop Gilly Hicks to which interview I went yesterday. Because the company policy states that one can not work in many stores under the same company, I chose to take the job at Abercrombie. The orientation is tomorrow and hopefully I will be able to sign my contract soon. I will still continue looking for another job and hope to hear back from someone shortly. Besides work talk, we have have a couple of fun nights here in Waikiki. Yesterday we had an electricity shut down in our building so we were stuck on the 37th floor by the pool. This, however, turned out to be pretty fun cause the sky was so clear for the stars and it was beautiful up there. After a while we took the stairs down and me and Mallu headed to a surfstore which offered us to go and sell surfboards at an MMA match. Due to the late notice we decided not to take the job, but the lovely Brazilian guys who worked there promised to contact us once something new comes up. After that we hit the beach (as we do on most of the nights) and chilled with a couple of drinks and good company. On Wednesday we went to Senor Frogs which is only the most popular place in town... Awesome party with great people and good music- everything we needed to blow off some steam with some dance moves. A few days ago we had our first dance practice and we definitely learnt some awesome moves from there which we then put into practice at Frogs. In addition, we made a to-do list with the girls and the first one got ticked off yesterday - it was Mallu's take away dinner from Panda Express (most awesome food ever and only about like 100 times better than chopssticks). Today we had a plan to hit the Kailua beach, but the guys fell asleep and the weather is so-so... We will probably still hit the waikiki beach today in the evening or then just have a chill night at home with a movie, rum and ice-cream. Take care :)

ALOHA
Aloha everyone, it's been a while. But, I will update you on some of the most interesting things which have happened so far. Firstly (and most importantly), I found a job! I will sign my contract at ''Forever21'' as soon as I have recieved my SSN number (which will hopefully be tomorrow). I have applied to many other places, but for the summer season there are hundreds of applications per job and therefore you basically play for luck. In addition, most of the Estonians are doing very well in terms of searching for jobs and being active. Sandra promised to bake a cake for us once we have all found a job- this means more motivation to do so!! On Monday we attended a birthday party on Seaside Avenue where some Estonians and Latvians live- it was my first classical American red cup party! The weather has fortunetely become nicer and nicer every day. Last weekend we went to Kailua beach which is about an hour away from Waikiki. It was, as you can already imagine, BEAUTIFUL. The beach and environment were completely different from the one in Waikiki- there were not very many people and you could actually hear the sound of the waves. Moreover, me and the girls descovered a heavenly place called ''Yogurtland'' which is a small frozen yogurt cafe in the heart of Waikiki- this is definetely a ''must go'' place. The plan for today is to hit the beach and enjoy the sun after all these busy days full of job searching and worrying. Pay attention, more news and pictures to come :) PEACE
